Don't do the "tomahawk chop" at sporting events.

Tomahawk is an Algonquin word meaning "striking weapon," yet the chopper which now bears that name was not created by Red People. We weren't doing a lot of metal work centuries ago. It's essentially a small European battle-ax that was marketed to us--thus the name. In movies it tends to be thrown around, but that's not how it was really used. Like a war club or sword, you keep it in your hand constantly. Throwing away your melee weapon is not a winning move.
