It took me till I was frickin 15 to get a phone (and it was bc a grandparent was dying so I inherited hers) and my brother violently complained about how I had a "pleasure device" I could use to make myself happy if I didn't like how he was treating me (and he's extremely bossy, insufferable and dominating) and my dad actually listened to that crap
