Dante was submerged in thick, warm water. It was gross, but a nice change of pace from the heat of that golden desert. Dante still needed to breathe, though, so he tried to swim upwards. He found that the water was much deeper than it looked, and the surface seemed to slowly move away when Dante tried getting closer.
Eventually, he made it up, and gasped for air. He took a look at his surroundings. He was in a swampy area, with giant trees and… blood stained everywhere? Shattered and cracked bones lay scattered all about, and the mud was colored a reddish-brown. There must have been a battle going on here.
Dante walked and walked, and after his senses adapted to his surroundings, he soon realized how noisy it was. Screams could be heard. Gunshots and explosions, too. It reminded him of the firefight that ensued before he entered this terrible dimension. Him and the other rebels against the people in that Inkperial base. The horrors he’d seen here… made him miss home. He didn’t even know what happened. Did the Inkperials fall? Is the war still going? Are the rebels defeated? Before he could think some more, he stopped dead in his tracks. A tiny explosion occurred in the mud beneath him. Upon closer inspection, he found something lying in that exact spot… a bullet.
Dante recognized this kind of bullet. It was a big one… one that belonged in sniper rifles. Dante was being hunted down… he needed to get out of there, ASAP! Dante ran and ran, and although the sniper had a silencer on their gun, he could still hear the bullets flying past him. Dante eventually found a safe spot in a hole in one of the giant trees, and hid there until he was sure he was safe.

Dante considered getting out, but then he saw someone walk past in the distance. The figure was wearing full military gear, but it wasn’t modern gear. It looked straight out of the Vietnam War. It wielded an M-16 rifle and had a black, shadowy face.

Dante tried to get a closer look in, but was afraid Insanire would spot him. Dante instead took out his pistol, and tried to shoot him in the head. He knew how defective those helmets were, and if he could kill whatever demon was in charge of this circle, which was probably Insanire, he could get closer to escaping Hell.
Dante took a shot, and missed. Insanire’s head snapped towards Dante, and suddenly, he disappeared.
Dante got out of his hole, and took out his rocket launcher. He didn’t want to admit it, but he was scared. None of the other demons have just disappeared like that.
Suddenly, Dante heard a voice.
???: You f**ker…
Dante turned around, and saw Insanire’s foot kick him right in the gut.
Insanire: You think that was funny? Trying to shoot me like that? Huh?
Dante wondered why he was getting mad over almost being shot. He was in a warzone, for God’s sake. Insanire took out his rifle, and planted it right on Dante’s head.
Insanire: Say your f**king last words.
Dante tried to open his mouth and say something, but only a weak groan came out. He forgot he couldn’t talk.
After around 5 seconds of awkward silence, Dante did a spinning kick thing move underneath Insanire’s legs and he fell over. Dante then kicked him in the face and then ran away, before shooting his rocket launcher at him.
There was nothing left after the explosion. No charred remains or anything. Insanire must have disappeared again.
Suddenly, he got tapped on the back.
It was Insanire again.
Insanire: You think I would just let you kill me?!
Dante got punched straight in the face, and he took out his sword he stole from Divitae. Insanire took out a knife. Dante swung his sword at Insanire’s thigh, but it got blocked by his knife. It was a thin knife, too. How the hell does that work? Insanire lunged at Dante, and Dante got stabbed in the arm. Dante winced in pain, but then threw Insanire to the ground. Insanire tried to grab his rifle, but then suddenly, he stopped moving.
A single bullet went through his skull.
Dante looked up to see the same sniper as before. The sniper gave him a thumbs up. Dante did the same. And before they knew it, they were both teleported somewhere else.
