(Fr I want to walk out of my class too purely because they made a new rule this year for seniors to create speeches and then present them in front of half the school. I won’t be there for my date to speak because I’m heading to another city for all state band lmfao. Personally I think it’s bs but they want us to learn “skills” for public speaking.)

Correct. The school won't do anything because they're on a sports team, and that's the only thing holding up the school right now. The dropout rate is high and the graduation rate is god awful. Unfortunately as a sophomore you can't transfer into another school nor can you do dual enrollment until Junior year.

I honestly don't even care if I get in trouble for walking out because I will simply call to get picked up.

I asked to switch classes when the problem first began but my school said "it's too late in the semester, there's only a few weeks left." (There's 4 weeks left of it now, and I reported the issue in early December.)

On top of which, the school is trying to expell my sister, who runs a few clubs and on tip of which was in our student union.

However I can't drop out because even though I'm old enough to I'd be arrested because of stupid government policy.

Holy f**k your school sucks. Them being on the sports team and the school not doing anything usually happens if they fall into favor with the coach. But go***amn how has the person running it not been removed if the graduation rate is that bad and people regularly drop out?

That school really needs help I’m not even gonna lie. I feel like it’s one of those schools that takes pride in having a low graduation rate and saying graduating from there means you’re super smart or some shit when the public school in the next district over has a better graduation rate and a similar curriculum. Bruh.

The thing is that's literally it too.

My sister is about to go to one of its "rival schools" next semester, which has a better graduation rate.

Tbh I’d just try to switch with her then if possible. I’m not sure if it’s possible where you live though.
