And the Trump-cult just keeps on pushing false narrative on the American public.

And the Trump-cult just keeps on pushing false narrative on the American public. | "Regardless of whether you support or oppose former President Donald Trump, it is outrageous to see left wing activists make a mockery of our political system by scheming with partisan state officials and pressuring judges to remove him from the ballot. American voters, not partisan activists should decide who we elect as our president. The Constitutional Election Integrity Act would put any constitutional challenges in the sole place they belong: the U.S. Supreme Court."; - republican Senator Thom Tillis (because of course it would be a GOPer) spewing error-filled prattle in an apparent attempt to drum up support for his pet bill. So let's take a look at everything wrong with what Tillis is shovelling. Starting off, "left wing activists" --it's a group of Colorado republican voters sooo... yeah, calling bulls--- on that right outta the gate. Next, "scheming with partisan state officials" --okay... so where's the proof? That kind of de facto accusation of conspiracy to commit election tampering levied against Coloradoan citizens and government personnel can result in significant criminal and civil liability if a member of the accused takes exception and one can't produce evidence to support a "good faith" defense. "Pressuring judges"...so now operating within the bounds of the law, mounting legal challenge on grounds established by the Constitution, bringing your case to the court as one is supposed to do is "pressuring judges," is it? That means we're into the realm of accusations of obstructing the court... gotta say, the Speech and Debate Clause covers a lot but Mr. Tillis is way out from under the umbrella and setting himself up for legal problems. "American voters, not partisan activists should decide who we elect as our president." Uh-huh... who wants to be the one to break it to him that VOTING is partisan activism? And let's not overlook how he's implying that partisan activism is un-American; did you see that, Trump-cult kids? Ol' Thom-Thom just threw y'all out in the cold. Seriously, how did this guy manage to get into the Senate?! And finally, "the Constitutional Election Integrity Act would put any constitutional challenges in the sole place they belong: the U.S. Supreme Court."; Sorry, Thommy-boy, but what you're proposing is both crap and blatantly unconstitutional. It's not your place to try to legislate an end run around Article III. Kinda seems like maybe, just maybe your constituency should be thinking real hard about a recall because you're demonstratedly not qualified for the job. | image tagged in blank, plain black template, liar liar, trump unfit unqualified dangerous, wannabe, dictator | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
