I personally don't want Elton John in harm's way; but yeah, it's basically meaningless. I guess it could mean they're officially friends of the royal family; maybe it gives them extra clearance or something.
All I know is I've been on a Stevie Wonder boycott for awhile, because his royal friends had a journalist censored about Epstein back in like 2013. Stevie is too blind to know what the f**k is going on with those people, so he willingly serenades them at jubilees.
