Nope. Someone discrediting a journalist is a lot different than having people tossed in jail/prison/having to flee to other countries... Like the original posters meme.
Your example could walk down the street - maybe get some bad looks from people. The OPs examples - those people aren't doing that so much, because they are in jail, in prison, or they had to flee the country.
