Justice shouldn't be Political... In this case the decision worked backwards from a foregone and false conclusion - that Trump had engaged in insurrection - as opposed to 1st Amendment protected protest.

The problem with that theory, is that no court ever charged Trump for the crime, much less convicted him - by a jury of his peers. He was impeached by the House, along those lines - but acquitted by the Senate.

Pence is my favorite Republican… he may have run away from the guided tour but he still finished his last job respectfully.

That's about it, for me... But I heard Vivek promise to Pardon Julian Assange on his first day in office (something that doesn't require any buy-in from Congress, etc. - that he or any President could actually achieve, irrevocably) - and that was a strong selling point, that differentiates him from the rest of the uni-party swamp monsters.

As I tried to make that meme, and it crashed before, I had already written a comment, that got lost. It basically said that I'd met his father, John Shipton (at least twice), and his brother Gabriel, and both are wonderful people, and doing incredible work to get him freed. I've been part of several protests on his behalf, and even helped organize one, out in front of CNN, in Hollywood. I guess they didn't bother to cover our protest, of them.

He's literally one of, if not THE top Journalist(s) of the Century, so far. He never had to retract a story, and top corporatist news outfits got Pulitzers, relying on his work. The idea that he isn't a Journalist, as
shockingly repeated by so many MOCKINGBIRD outlets is just beyond ridiculous. It's like they were making accusations into the mirror, as they read those pure fiction scripts, unedited, as delivered from Langley, Foggybottom, and the White House basement.

Julian is clearly a very special human, that he's been tortured in the way that he has, for so long, is just unconscionable. I was pointing out that the none of the War criminals that he exposed has even been slightly inconvenienced by an investigation of their crimes against humanity. But Julian has spent more than a decade, imprisoned, in one way or another - a good portion in Solitary, now.

As they pointed out - the Stratfor leak showed that the plan has ALWAYS BEEN, that 'the process will be the punishment'. Perhaps at that point the thin veneer of "western liberal democracy" was though to be enough to eventually get him released, at the last minute, as happened with Daniel Ellsberg, vis-a-vis the Pentagon papers. In the (inverted) Totalitarian Technocratic dystopia of the present moment - that appears unlikely... And NOTE - that Bradley/Chelsea Manning, was given clemency, LONG AGO, and served much less time, after being afforded the benefit of a trial - albeit, a totally RIGGED show trial.

There's some suspicions that Julian has some form of high functioning Asperger's or is otherwise 'on the spectrum'. There's also some rumors that he may have been involved with a hack at the Pentagon, as a youth. I'd imagine that if he had been, it would have had an impact on the way he viewed the world, based upon what he saw, and how he was dealt with.
