Certainly there must be consequences. Now when a muslim does the same thing and carries out the threat crying Allahu Ackbar, that's okay because of context. Who are we to deny the muslim free exercise of his religion to rid the earth of all infidels. Can't have Jews doing the same thing, the context is so wrong then.
