If I see the tag “single player” I ASSUME that means you can play (at least some part of) the game without anyone else and without any internet.
I can’t play COD World at War multiplayer without internet, but I can still do zombies and the campaign. That’s the single player component.
But now games like Need for Speed, Mirror’s Edge, The Crew, and Far Cry are all requiring an online connection just to play the games even just for single player.
The problem isn’t that people don’t have money to pay for internet. The problem is that because it’s tied to an online server, that single player game could be taken away at any given moment and it would be lost to time with no way to preserve it.
