I try to remember other awesome villains in games I’ve played but I can’t think of many.

There’s Kendra from Dead Space but we don’t know she’s a bad guy until the 2nd last mission.

There’s Dr. Eggman but it’s… Dr. Eggman.

Far Cry 5 has Joseph Seed, and Far Cry 2 has The Jackal. Both are cool villains but you don’t see them very much.

But Menendez is just perfect.

Looking back, didn’t realize you mentioned Joseph Seed, absolutely loved far cry 5 if it weren’t for the shitty DLC lore 😭

it’s sort of like that, i mean there’s no stopping people from screeching “MAURICEEEE” as soon as i fight a malicious face

but it’s much more serious than that, and although there’s a bunch of meme-y easter eggs and references, it’s still an extremely serious game
