You're walking along the beach on a clear night, the waves crash gently onto the sand and the smell of salt fills your nose. It was said that on nights like this, a woman would appear, she was rumored to be a seductress, luring men and women alike (or those in between or without labels) into the warm waters, never to be seen again. Deciding that you wanted to see her for yourself you took a walk and ended up face to face with her. Her eyes were soft and captivating, and her smile could put even those with the strongest wills under a trance. She began to speak and her voice, much like the rest of her, was beautiful.

"You have come here to see if the rumors are true, yes?"
She walked around you, studying you and your movements

"I know what they say.."
She chuckles and whispers in your ear
"Do you want to find out?..Do you want to see what happens?"

Cass:mhm and i'm a siren

"A siren? I'm a water nymph"

Teddy: um, sure
*they’d look at her, lightly blushing*

She takes Teddys hand in her's, walking towards the water
"I promise you..no harm will befall you, trust me?"

Teddy: o- ok miss

The woman smiled sweetly, taking both Teddy's hands and submerging both of them in the water

"It is beautiful down here today"

She seemed concerned

She smiled and took their hand, leading them towards the waves

"Do you trust me"
She said with a sickly sweet smile, her eyes warm and welcoming

Umbreon: (romance?) Oh. Hello.

She smiled
"Hello!..."

U: *sits* so, youre the siren whos making people dissapear.

"Siren?"
She looked disgusted and offended
"I am not a siren!"
She frowned

U: then what are you!

"I'm a water nymph silly!"

U: oh nice, one of my moms is a dryad.

The woman smiled
"And her name? Maybe I know her"

U: Sylvana. She's a fern.

Her face went deadpan, a small, innocent smile creeping up
"I don't think I know her..."
She shrugged
"I don't think I asked your name"

U: Umbreon. *he bows* Umbreon Vanta.

She stood up and bowed as well
"Althaia Morini, a pleasure to formally meet you"
She smiled warmly
"What brings you out here?"

U: boredom, mild suicidal tendancies, a general disregard for my own health.

(Honestly, same)
Althaia stood there for a moment with a shocked smile
"Thats....concerning"

U: eh. average tuesday for me.

S: Thats why im here, isnt it?

"Is it? Or have you just come to see a "pretty girl"

S: Lady, I already have a wife.

"Then go to her, or the waves will come for them too"

S: She is dying. her wish was to find out whathappens here. I am simply fufilling her dying wish.

"You could bring me to her...I could explain"

Nah, I'm just out here before the next wave of mercs comes by.

"Mercs?"
She said with a questioning look

Yeah. Mercs. They want to kill me, I'm not gonna let them.

"What are they?.."

Mentally insane people. Not joking either, they-
*I am interrupted by the sound of gunfire.*

"Shall we hide?"

Nah, these assholes are easy to kill.
*I load a few slugs in a pump action.*
A single slug should do.

The woman nodded and sank gently into the waves, only her eyes showing

*Gunshots erupt, the sounds of mercenaries dying fills the air.*

The woman was physically shaking

*One merc was kicked into the water, he tries to get back to shore.*

The woman grabbed the merc and sank her now razor sharp teeth into their neck

*The merc screams, as the others try to fire at the water, they get killed.*

She disappears among the waves, the mercs bodies floating out

*Three mercs try to follow the creature.*

She pulls them under the waves, one after the other and after a while parts of them surfaced

*Eventually, the fighting ends.*

The woman stayed under the water, unsure if she was now safe

*Silence.*

She peeked her eyes out of the water

*There lie a mercenary corpse, missing a head.*

She grabbed the mercenaries head and held it in her hands
"H-Hello?.."

*Silence...*

"Anyone?..."

*Still dead silence, there's multiple corpses with various missing chunks out of them.*

She walked up to many of them, studying the chunks to look for a pattern

*The only pattern is fatal shots to either the chest or the head.*

"Clap twice if you're alive"

*No response. They're long gone.*

She sat down in a slump and put her head in her hands

*Eventually, there is a clap, then a second clap.*

Maefira stood up and walked over to the claps

*I was the source of the clap.*
Nice, thought you got killed, but it's amazing to see someone else who's defiant as the one in the mirror.

Maefira tilted her head
"One in the mirror?"

It's my way in saying the reflection of a main image.
