It was called the library, and believe it or not there was more information at the library than on Google because you had entire books vs one National Geographic article or one Wikipedia page, and that was before they started removing things they didn't agree with, so evereyone had varying expanses of information from accredited authors and scientists instead the same buzzword headlines from Neil Tyson shared by the same 50 articles from places like Salon or Vox.

I'm a millennial, I grew up as it was changing so we learned to do research both ways.
We quickly discovered that Google and Wikipedia were easier but the information was garbage.
