I'm not going to debate with someone incapable of correct spelling, proper punctuation, and decent grammar; so this goes out to anyone who would read your absurd comment:
"To each their* own" (fixed it for you): NO. It's not. The Confederates ceded from the Union of American States (colloquially known as these United States of America), they no longer wanted to be part of the USA. That alone makes them *unAmerican* by definition.
"... when I look at it, I see a variant of...": You must be clinically delusional then, because the man who designed the Confederate Battle Flag, William Porcher Miles, had the subjugation/enslavement of Blacks in mind.
In fact, if you're looking for 'variation' of the American flag, you've got the entirely wrong flag.
The "stars and bars" was the offical flag of the CSA, not this "Dixie flag" that is a variation of the actual Confederate Battle flag--which is a smaller version of this image on a field of white material.
The image you posted is actually an inaccurate 1920s reproduction, and was adopted by white supremacists in an effort to intimidate Black citizens during the Jim Crow era. Same with all the Confederate statues.
Lastly, I don't hate the Confederate Dixie flag. Hate is a very broad term.
I have a very specific, deep disdain for it.
And is not "an oxymoron*" (I fixed that for you too). It's an understanding of historical facts that you simply do not have.
If you're going to romanticize a racist lost cause, at least bear the decency of being factual.
