in seventh grade my classmate (who was asian) had a mental breakdown and said he was a... pink-man. My other whiteass classmate was like uH wHaTs A pInK-mAn? and me and my friend yelled at him saying that it was a slur he couldnt say.
If you fail in Japanese culture, you're considered to have shamed your family. And in WW2, honor was a big thing and people would kill themselves because of it-
In fact, America was scared of possibly killing Hirohito in a bombing raid because if the people of Japan learned he died, they would have committed mass suicide because they failed to honor him.
