I mean your not wrong, even minecraft BRs are shoot and build essentially,

Like hell, even ones I love like Warzone 2 are just shoot

Exactly my point, he’s arguing fortnite isn’t creative because “there is no story behind it” right now and “that it was used to promote it’s other game” (the Save the World counter part) and I’m talking about the gameplay mechanics. I brought up Apex Legends, the most diverse battle royale gameplay wise I could think of, as a comparison. Please note I do not think either game is bad, but the whole “fortnite is not creative” and “all you do is shoot and build” argument is just stupid and provides nothing. I have not seen other battle royales implement a build mechanic as well as fortnite has.

I even told him that none of these games are bad, but his argument for fortnite being a terrible game isn’t a great one since it can be applied to literally EVERY OTHER BATTLE ROYALE and get THE SAME RESULTS.

Also, BR isnt even remotely close to STW and BR is wayy more sucessful

Nah, he thinks apex is better which is understandable. The skill ceiling isn’t quite as high, slightly lower than Titanfall 2’s, which makes it more player friendly. He hasn’t said anything about Minecraft yet either. Pretty much I’m just telling him now that his argument for disliking fortnite isn’t that great.

fair point, I havent played Apex Legends (mostly because it requires lots of skill) but im pretty surprised, because most of the time, when I argue with some Kid over Fortnite, they always bring up Minecraft thinking its "The Best game of all time" Like dude its a sandbox game, their isnt much special about it (I mean the base game itself)

I know. Apex has an incredibly high skill ceiling for most battle royales out there too. Tbh I want to bring Minecraft up and use his same arguments against it to see how he reacts.
