Fifty cent

Fifty cent | I WOULD LOVE TO GET INTO THE
YAKUZA FRANCHISE. I PLAYED
KIWAMI 1 AND IT WAS FANTASTIC.
I EVEN BOUGHT 2 AND ZERO
AND PLAN TO PLAY THEM SOON. THE MAN WHO ERASED HIS NAME
LOOKS PHENOMENAL AS WELL; I'M JUST WORRIED ABOUT THE
MASSIVE TIME COMMITMENT. | image tagged in fifty cent | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I have a terrible habit of playing the first entry in a franchise, LOVING it to death, and never touching the sequels.

Still never played Dead Space 2
Still never played Halo 2
It took me years to finally play Black Ops 1, which is a sequel to World at War's campaign
Still never played Sonic Adventure 2 (will soon)
Still never played Dark Souls 2, 3, or Elden Ring
I played Banjo Tooie a little bit, then never touched it again.

The only exceptions are Portal (that's just 2 games) and Far Cry (which isn't an overarching story and I regret playing 50% of them)

Portal 2 co-op is an entire new campaign in the game

I played through that with 2 controllers.

And also my cousin.

Played it with my dad
Nothing beats playing co-op games with your dad
Which is why I have Mario wonder on my wishlist

If they released Super Monkey Ball 3 today, I would drop everything I'm doing and immediately rush to buy it. That's like the ONLY game sequel I genuinely want to play.

In the famous words of Dunkey, "If you want a game like Banjo-Kazooie, then just play Banjo-Kazooie." If I'm looking for a game that replicates an experience I already love, why not just play the one I already played?
