Why Lucario is among the best Pokémon
First, Lucario has the ability to not only sense, but also control a force named Aura. The former is very useful in dangerous environments, while the latter makes it highly capable in combat. Also, if it were to be tired out and not able to be transported in a Pokéball, it is fairly lightweight. This means that it can be easily carried to the next Pokémon Center.
Another thing that makes this Pokémon a good companion is the fact that it evolves via friendship. Its pre-evolution, Riolu, is a small, playful Pokémon companion ideal for children with social impairments such as Autism. Other Pokémon with this benefit include Eevee, Sprigatito, Vulpix or Litten, as well as Torracat.
Lucario also has a fairly humanoid physique, making it able to fit into a normal household with ease. This is further emphasised by the fact that it is able to consume processed food without issues.
