Moreli peaked from behind another tree, trying not to seem stalker-ish as she watched. She was very awkward around people, that and she usually just lives in the forest

"Oh, sure!" He starts to read a bit of the chapter he's on. [the book is on the shelf a couple feet behind me but my dog is laying on me so i'm not getting up lol]

He finished reading the chapter and smiled. "Would you like me to read more?"

Their ears twitched and they looked up from their book. "Hello?"

Moreli quickly took a step back, hoping they didn't see her

They shrugged and went back to their book.

Moreli scaled up the tree and hung down from the branch above them
"Hello..."

"Oh, hello!"

"What're you doin' 'ere?"
She spoke in a strange accent that sounded a bit foreign, it was heavy but the words were recognizable

"Reading. This is the clearing I spend a lot of time in.

"What're ya readin'?"
She jumped from the branch and landed in a squatting position in front of them, her head slightly tilted as she attempted to read the cover

"The fourth Harry Potter."

"Hm...Is it good?'

Elliot: What the-? Yo kid, you most or somethin-? *He tilted his head, looking concerned*

"See ya." He went back to reading.

*Elliot walks away* (sorry you gotta pick this up idk what to do :’) ))

They look up from their book and notice a spider crawling on their knee. "Oh god!" They jump and somehow fall from their perch in the tree.

*Elliot perks up, hearing the loud ass fall, and running to where the one he just met was*

They look up from their book. "Huh? Nope, I'm exactly where I wanna be."

Elliot: Can I ask you what you’re doing? *His concerned expression shifted into curiosity*

"Reading a book!" He smiled and picked up the book he was reading, the fourth Harry Potter.

Elliot: Oh, that- yeah no I think I have a friend who reads those- I couldn’t even sit through the movies, so-

"Yeah, the movies kinda suck. They left out a lot of stuff from the books."

Elliot: Yeah- What’s with the fairy lights? This like yer hangout or somethin? *He looked around*

"Yup, pretty much. It's a nice place."

Elliot: Hm- That’s good I thought I was getting into some possessed kid sh*t-

"Hah, nope."

Elliot: Well…uh- Bye, I guess- *He walks back into the shadows of the trees*
