last year, my biology teacher was talking about genders, he mentioned Male and Female and then a kid asked "what about other genders?" and he said "Mental illnesses are not biology topic"
my english teacher always says "male identifying" or "female identifying" to refer to genders; but i don't get it. it just makes it more of a hassle to say, and i know she's trying to be inclusive (especially bc the school requires her to), but wouldn't trans kids prefer to be called "female" or "male"? and using "identifying" makes it harder for children that are unsure/nonbinary etc, because then they have to be certain they identify as such.
