rare terraria player who gives a shit about building
(I am a terraria no life grinding degenerate who has completed the 200 angler quest achievement, has the ankh shield, shellphone, obtained the zenith in two worlds, beat the zenith seed on legendary with friends and is currently doing a master mode summoner playthrough)

I honestly don't care much about the angler lmao I either kill him with the Flymeal or i move him in the underworld in a house made from literal shit

I only do his quests until I get the golden fishing rod/angler set so I can do crate and bloodmoon fishing. after that's over I usually banish him to the desert so I can put a pylon there or put him in the caverns right above hell so he gets killed by red devils (please help me I am losing my mind because of red devils. in master mode they one shot you unless you're wearing endgame melee armor like solar or beetle)

fr, moss hornets can go to hell, those guys are annoying as frick

the underground jungle is suffering yes. but you have no idea the horror of red devils

the moss hornet does 252 contact damage on master

**the red devil does 480 trident damage on master**

But yet Moss Hornets are still 10x more annoying than Red Devils.

they're not. at least not in master mode. because their health is minimal compared to the 1.5k hp of a red devil. meaning they're a pushover for anyone playing ranger or mage and if you're melee...ripbozo ig

I only multiclass if I get an overpowered weapon. i.e I'm doing a summoner playthrough right now but I have the orange zapinator and nimbus rod. both of which I used to f**king roll the destroyer because piercing (and the zapinator having a 1% chance to do over 5k damage in one shot lmao)

I only have two single class characters who are ranger and mage, my other 8 characters are multiclass lol

please tell me you at least don't mix armor sets. because I swear to god if you do for any other reason aside from max of one stat then-

All my multiclass characters wear melee armor for their defense.

wow you have zero idea about how much damage you could be doing if you actually wore class armor

ranged: good damage with good defence
melee: good damage with amazing defence
mage: amazing damage with no defence
summoner: high damage with no defence but easier dodging

For mage and summoner it does have defense, just has the lowest defense in the game. What they lack in defense they make up for in attack, same goes with ranger, which has the second best defence and excellent attack, but with ranger it's harder to aim compared to mage and ranged melee weapons.

I'm saying this from a master mode perspective. not a classic or expert one.
believe me when I say melee is the only class with "good" defence. you'll see the difference if you play master mode and wonder why a blue slime just did 114 damage to you

And I do wear class armor. I wear melee armor, I told you that already.

Every Terraria veteran knows that it's not about the armor or what weapon the player uses, it's about the player's skill. It's with all games really, most videogames are skill based.

apparently I'm not every terraria veteran, despite playing the game for 7 and a half years. and say that when you kill the moon lord with a copper shortsword, afterall sorbet_cafe did it so you can too right

Ye. Although EoW is easily my fave boss and though both enemies are a pain to deal with due to them swarming (eg. Eater of Souls, Chimeras and Blood Crawlers) they still got some pretty worth-it loot.
