They need to waste more money to study why the people they openly hate do not respect, trust or bow down to them. When we hear them brag "I went to Har vard" we hear, "I am a racist POS"

Apparently conservative run businesses and firms have finally caught on to what Harvard University is presenting to the world and is reconsidering their hiring practices. They intend to cut waaaaay down on the hiring of Harvard graduates now.

Along those lines it is estimated that more bankruptcies have been caused by the advice of Harvard MBAs than by actual economic downturns.

No surprise here, I made fools of plenty of college educated experts. I have a Bachelor's degree, and the only reason I have that is because the military gives you premotion points for education while you are still in uniform and extra pay to attend school when you leave the service. I did have my share of drama with left leaning teachers but even without my help most students saw through their BS.

Ditto . . . taking advantage of educational opportunities during and after military service is the smart move. Military service itself definitely helps veterans separate reality from bullshit.

I witnessed an interesting encounter at the V.A. hospital this past Monday. A former E-9 was telling a current E-6 why he should both stay in the military after having already gotten that far and start really taking advantage of available educational opportunities. What was fascinating was that the veteran laid it all out for the currently serving E-6. No B.S., no rah-rah . . . just bald facts coupled with risk assessments and projected pay-offs for effort invested.

I have been talking people out of serving but would have agreed with the SGM, if the soldier was already in, they should take advantage of every opportunity. It is likely the SSG was close to the halfway mark and should have been looking for a life after retirement. I push trade schools over college but the military as you already know will pay for either.

That was my thought as well . . . if you're already in then perform an assessment and weigh the various pros and cons.

That's definitely a smart move. I was happy to have served because it fundamentally changed me for the better. I was also happy when I got out. Years later, and for a time, I wished I had stayed in and reached retirement age while in the service.

Then it dawned on me that all the other fine things that I cherished about my life would have been entirely different; and so I mentally shrugged and let it go.

Life is like that, people are like that; and we are all wired different.
