No, the education that the school teaches that is “important in the real world” but isn’t, is dumb

Teachers are only human and they work with you in a finite amount of time. Therefore the reason of homework is so that they can teach you more so that you can understand better and it prepares you for your future. Since they only have a year to teach you what you need homework gets the job done a lot faster.

I don't like homework but it's definitely not dumb.

homework isnt dumb but making it a mandatory thing is dumb the person who invented homework invented it as a punishment which was good but the person who made it a mandatory routine even though you did nothing wrong
