Your definition of truth is a bit skewed my friend. The word you’re looking for is provocative

Truth oftentimes is provocative

Poetic, perhaps true though disagreeable

Not an argument starter, just a silly little hee-hee ha-ha joke

I agree, it’s disappointing to see this total lack of regard for the trans community as real people

Forgive my straight white cis-het ignorance, but what rights are you wanting? I’m not saying you don’t have it because I don’t have a dog in this fight, but just out of curiosity

easy and free access to gender affirming care, restrooms we don’t have to walk in wondering if we’ll come back out, and respect, to start.
0 ups, 8mo,

Oh and I'm not giving respect until you people learn to stop pushing your beliefs on children who don't know how to think for themselves
[deleted]

we’re not pushing our beliefs any more than a few certain religions, or political views, are, and you find that perfectly acceptable

ok so I'm sorry with religion there are usually not any long-term issues(not saying I support it I'm an atheist just trying to get a point ) other than maybe not taking a look at other religion till to late honestly I don't see how religion and culture a different to be honest if you think about it they're basically the same but I degrees when I saw not pushing your beliefs on other people I mean not putting kids in that gender changing surgery that is a permanent change PERMANENT do you see the issue here also we arent even sure if that's safe yet and form what I've seen(take with a grain of salt I haven't done any proper research so I don't know much just saying what I have seen) it has some bad side effects do what you want leave the kids out of it

i absolutely do not condone sex change surgery for kids. that is absolutely not what I am discussing here. I am referring to non-consequential things like binders and gaffs, and the access to hormone therapy. nobody really wants people to be trans, because to be honest it sucks. we just want the people who are to not be ashamed that they are, and we want other people to treat us like human beings and not something in a freakshow.

i agree to some extent and the main thing I have against them is again subjecting kids to these ideas from a young age before they can properly think for themselves and see the bigger issue and the freakshow thing I can agree with you guys at your core are people and should be treated as such though I do believe there should be an age limit of 20 before you do it because that's when I believe your brain is fully developed and can properly make these decisions because again it's a permanent change
[deleted]
0 ups, 8mo
yeah that’s decently fair

also, i just wanna say I got nothing against you you seem nice I'm just talking In general because I've seen a lot of things where parents would convince a five-year-old to go trans or use pronouns and honestly I find it disgusting hence my insistence on getting my point across
[deleted]

i dont have anything against you either, i want to make that clear lol. i agree that kind of thing is disgusting and should not be condoned.

Playing devil’s advocate, what protection would there be for children who’s parents want them to be trans, or are convinced into undergoing this gender affirming care, that would alter their lives in irreversible ways for the rest of their lives?
[deleted]
0 ups, 8mo,

i’m not sure about the first one, i’ve never heard of parents who want their kids to be trans. as for the second one, the doctor and therapist would both have discussed it with the child and brought to light all of the negative aspects and side affects

Fair enough. I wanna say, I think it’s really cool of you to answer my questions, however trivial or whatever, instead of dismissing them. Civil discourse is losing its place in our society and I think that’s unfortunate
[deleted]
0 ups, 8mo
no problem! i agree, and genuinely enjoy civil discourse as such. i appreciate you bringing your concerns -that, i might add, are very fair concerns to have- in such a polite manner.

First off the gender care thing is fine but with the restrooms it's a no-go imagine being a girl and going and then a person that basic twice your body mass with a giant beard and was obviously a guy walks in it be pretty scary right

just thought of this you said "free care" No it shouldn't be free doctors still need to be paid so I guess that's a no-go too

vaccines should be free shouldn’t they?
0 ups, 8mo,

That's a different thing entirely vaccines help prepare people for illnesses that can kill them whatever reason you people want to chop your thing off and or put on in isn't nearly that serious don't try to put a virus that potentially could or has killed millions of people on the same level as people being insecure

imagine that every time you look in the mirror you’re disgusted. every time you see any single part of yourself you gag. imagine that every time you are reminded that you arent what you should be causes such physical pain that it makes you want to die. it makes life so miserable that death would be a welcome relief. just because more people suffer from disease doesn’t make it any less awful to bear.
0 ups, 8mo
Ok so i can kinda see where your coming from I guess dosent make my point any less valid that can be solved by therapy and I think I steems from hating yourself(mind you I don't have any of these issues so I'm speaking form an outsider looking in) and I think people only do this so they can pretend to be a different person instead of looking at the issue and solving it (my sister dose something similar instead it's her repeatedly dyeing her hair)

also if everything regarding healthcare is free how are they gonna get paid some of the medicines and stuff they use is expensive so they need the money to buy the stuff to help people stop insisting things be free
[deleted]
0 ups, 8mo,

yeah i mean it’s a problem and it sucks but therapy can’t really fix it on its own (replying to your response about the self hate aspect)
1 up, 8mo
Fair I myself think that gender change is unnecessary But in the end, your body is your choice and I have no say in the matter I've said all I've wanted to so ill be off and I hope you don't regret any of your choices in the future

That my friend was either someone insanely drunk, made up, or a psycho most likely all of the above now I'm not saying it's not scary just very rare and probably done by a psycho looking for a reason to hurt someone
