i like the image one better

When accessing my profile, the Video GIF appears to be very buggy, but on the comments, it's normal.
The Image GIF is very buggy no matter where.

The option is made to heavily compress GIFs, so I'm not sure if the buggy GIF was an accident or not.

it's only GIF compression, not video compression, meaning anywhere video is used instead of .gif in order to save bandwidth will use the original-looking video (which is probably still much smaller than the lossy optimized GIF too, because .gif is horribly inefficient)

do you think we should change video-to-gif to run the lossy compression before the final video is created so that the two outputs are identical looking? the fuzzy lossy-looking version is kind of a fun effect.... :)

You mean, show the GIF compression in the preview? That would be very useful. I think that every change made to a Video GIF should be shown in the preview, such as modifying GIF dimensions, speed, reversing/forversing it, and many others...

Side note, Images-to-GIF already previews the changes above, except for GIF compression.

Makes sense, i agree about previewing, some are just more technically difficult than others.
