If Hamas didn't want dead "Palestinian" civilians, they wouldn't have killed Israeli citizens.
It's 100% predictable that they would do this, because killing a few thousand Israelis will not achieve the political goals laid out in their charter.
So Hamas has zero respect for human life, other than a means to their political ends. Living or dead, matters not to them. Muslim or Jew, matters not to them.
And that is a pretty good definition of evil, imo.
