I've stopped a long while ago, I've told many in memechat.

It raises the overall originality of the meme (As the people who genuinely like it upvote)

Should we stop memeplugging? As you may or may not know we (big users such as Existent, Iceu, Caleb and I) send you our memes when you follow us, and that gives us garanteed front page on fun stream (well not for me but that's not my point). That's called memeplugging. we stopped memeplugging so imgflip becomes more diversified ? The front page rn is so boring. The memes are always the same style and it's always us there. The fun stream needs different style of memes. I think Iceu was right, memeplugging destroys imgflip. Most big users on this site prioritise points instead of actual fun. Dylan Wenzlau (creator of imgflip) created this site for us to post memes and have fun. Not so we can tryhard for an useless number next to our username. My point is that we should stop caring about points and memeplugging so the main page gets lively again. Comment if you agree
