i came out as non binary because one of my friends was non binary and i thought 'wait is that me???" and i pondered it and it felt right because i didnt like people calling me she or her.
but then i came out at school and home and then they or them didnt feel right, so i thought it was just because of the sudden switch. but then i still wanted to be called she or her sometimes but also they and he. then i found the word genderfluid a couple months later and it felt so right

I was in middle school and was filling out a survey. The only options were male and female. At the time, I thought I was cis, but as an ally, I protested to the teacher that there weren't other options. Eventually I figured out I was nonbinary. I identified at genderqueer for a while tho. But anyway, that was the first time it crossed my mind...

I've known that I wasn't cisgender since I can remember. In 3rd grade, a person who went by they/them joined as one of my classmates, and I was like, "Wait! I'm not the only one!" I stayed in the closet until 7th or 8th grade.

I'm still questioning lol

One day I felt a little less like a girl. I discovered I was a demigirl who went by she/her that day! Then I discovered that I went by she/they. Then I read a book about someone's nonbinary journey, and a little after reading it, I found out that I related to the book. I started to like she/her pronouns less and less, and now here I am, an agender they/them.
