Part 1 the biology of shaderias wildlife
In shaderia many species such as the lamprey above have bioluminescent patches all around them. Other species may have glowing eyes or wings or other things but bioluminescence is incredibly common on shaderia, although some species don’t exhibit it such as plants liek the flower above or the sawdragon (also shown above.

Part 2 the biology of shaderians:
Shaderians is technically a general term that covers most humanoid species living in the planet’s cities but for this we will cover the common shaderian (shadesapien primarius)
Appearance:
Shaderians appear to be very close to humans although their is differences which we will get to later
Their main traits differing them is their skin ranging through gray tones and their horns (which are often hidden under hair) they also too have some luminescence (which will be touched on soon)

Traits and other biology:
Luminescence:
The glowing bands on the shaderians skin is a result of a mineral compound in their blood that can use energy very easily resulting an easy use for magic and also allowing these glowing patches, depending on the magic they use it may or may not affect the color of their glowing skin (multimagicians luminous patches are only one color)
Digestive and respiratory systems:
Shaderians breathe in oxygen gas but they can also breathe in a few other things and separate oxygen out of it such as water vapor. Their digestive systems can dissolve things faster due to the mineral mentioned previously but not incredibly fast, shaderians aren’t harmed by ingesting lead on accident but are harmed by ingesting cobalt.

Reproduction:[ok look guys I’m with you here I don’t want to explain “the nasty” so it’ll simply be in biology speak and not in depth at all ]
Shaderian species can either reproduce sexually or asexually an example of the latter is that several species will actually grow small branches off their horns that will eventually become new shaderians, and the example of the former is the common shaderians (pictured above) which are similar to humans, they are also one of the 65 mammalian species of shaderian
Other:
Average shaderian lifespan is 120 years
Most common luminescence color is purple
65 species are mammals and 23 are not
Some species can breath underwater
