If you don't want me to respond with an essay, why argue with another essay?
You say "most everyone SHOULD." I'm saying "they DON'T NEED to."
The basis of my argument was that you and other furries today believe you need to overcomplicate things, and even believe you need to find every way to represent yourself and show how unique you are, when in reality, you don't need to. I'm saying that we never cared because it wasn't about representation or standing out. It was about fun, hence why you'd have a group of dudes named Mike who had a plain red fox as their fursona playing Smash Bros. at a furry convention. Nowadays, I don't see people bonding like that, and the ratio of natural pelts compared to flamboyant ones, as well as extra features like horns and wings, appears to be similar to the ratio of mature art to clean art: 99 to 1.
Also if we only cared about yiff and things, the fandom would be much, much larger because we would not have left. Must I refer back to the argument where I literally counted pieces on e621 (which you shouldn't have been on in the first place)?
