it's a variety of reasons, one is that you put your team at a disadvantage by leaving, so it's incentive not to leave

Well, it’s mostly because many people slur on imgflip, or post inappropriate images. If you’ve heard of the nsfw week problems, you know what I mean. However, you can still be on the site if you don’t post inappropriate stuff or give out your real information and age.
