That's one way to look at it... of course, that viewpoint only holds sway so long as one doesn't take into account that it's not democrats who changed their position on McCarthy.

This should be a bipartisan thing. A politician was appointed to a position based on certain conditions. He failed to commit to these positions and was removed. That should be an example for both parties.

True, it *should* be bi-partisan and McCarthy operated on that principal to simply achieve an extension, not a finalized budget... which ran afoul of Gaetz's apparent requirement that McCarthy not work in a bi-partisan manner thereby intigating his removal. If a thing should be bi-partisan but working in a bi-partisan manner to make that thing occur violates the conditions of one's terms of tenure, what does that say about the nature of the terms?
