Forgive me as I don't understand your point with the classes, because I was talking about people in general, like friends or the general public. We weren't trying to be unique or important like we are now, and we didn't let simple disagreements get between us.
Nowadays people are letting different tastes and opinions split long-established friendships and potential new ones. More people today seek allies instead of friends.
