Keep in mind that a lot of the hate doesn't come from nowhere. The fandom gave itself a bad image and wanted to play victim. Even furries don't like the fandom now.
Wrongful persecution and mindless hate are bad, yes, but at least recognize where most of the genuine dislike of the fandom comes from. It's similar to twitter, but for niche and very often NSFW interests.
And yes, I'm a furry. I prefer to hang around other O.G. and outside furries. The fandom has problems. Lots of people in it have issues that aren't being addressed. Many of us left it for legit reasons.
