A sequel to a short SCP role play that I made a while ago.

"O-Oh god...Something's gotta be off."

On-site MTF commander: the other thing we could do is trace their location and lock it down.

Level 4 researcher: I don’t know why but I highly doubt that that’s going to work.

"They've already proven to be superior to us."

(Sorry I’ve been gone for so long, lot of school work)

Level 4 researcher: exactly. We’re going to have to play along for now.

*the video call recording was sent to O5 command.*

no problem))
*sighs* "We'll figure this out...We have to...If not..."

Level 4 researcher: we’ll wait for them to return SCP 049 unless the higher ups tell us otherwise. … This is really going to hurt us. How did we let these wack jobs get by us?

"I don't know...We'll have to increase security as best we can..."

Level 4 researcher: that clearly didn’t work since they stole the doctor after we heightened security due to the SCP 682 breach incident. We need to figure out how they’re getting through.

On-site MTF commander; maybe they have a guy on the inside or something.

Level 4 researcher: that would be my best guess but no one here has heard of this group before.

"Lovely, just lovely!" *sighs* "ALright...Just...Keep an eye out...If anything is suspicious, tell one of the higher-ups."

*they both nod*

*a few days later, motion is detected on the gate camera. Those galactic labs guys were here, there were a few of them outside, and they had some sort of large transport ship that they landed near the gate, it was being guarded by what looked like either mercenaries or soldiers*

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: we thank you for letting us borrow SCP 049 for a few days.

"Hmmm...Of course. No problem...I suppose..."

*there were multiple personnel there while someone wearing a lab coat was on the screen, in the background you could see a white interrogation room with SCP 049 in there chatting with another scientist that looked very similar. Both of their lab coats had a gold G stitched onto their pocket*

Galactic Labs Scientist?: I assure you this legitimate. I am quite sorry you were not informed of this decision but we have briefly taken possession of the famous SCP 049.

Level 4 researcher: *happened to be in the room when they contacted* what is the meaning of this?

Galactic Labs Scientist?: just a few experiments, nothing more, we may have also taken a few of your so called “D-class” as well for the purposes of testing some equipment related to our studies of SCP 049. We look forward to our partnership in the future.

*the level 4 researcher and the mobile task force commander in the room both look at each other and back at the screen*

Mobile Task Force Commander: it was reported you said the exact same thing in the SCP 682 incident.

Galactic Labs Scientist?: and our offer still stands. I believe we can both benefit from the situation we find ourselves in.

*another scientist comes onto screen and whispers to the first one who was talking to you*

"I don't know if this is a good idea...Trusting them...But it seems we lack much a choice in the matter..."

Galactic Lans Scientist?: *nodding* we’ll only be your enemy if you make us your enemy. I have a feeling we’ll be great allies.

*the other scientist whispers something*

Level 4 researcher: we’ll talk it over with the—

Galactic Labs Scientist?: my apologies.. it appears there have been a change in plans. My supervisor has advised that we shall return him directly to your facility under careful guard to minimize the risk of your SCP 049 escaping or becoming compromised.

Level 4 researcher: …*eying both you and the commander* that would be appreciated.

Galactic Labs Scientist?: we thank you for your cooperation. *the call ends before anyone else could enter the room*

Level 4 researcher: *Sighing* I was not qualified for that.

On-site Mobile task force commander: a record of the call has been stored on the data base.

Level 4 researcher: … what would the directors do..?

On-site mobile task force commander: it is up to the director and the 05 now.

"Great...Just one more thing to deal with..."

On-site mobile task force commander: I’ll round up some men incase they give us the order.

Level 4 researcher: I believe our best bet is in fact to cooperate, they’ve seemed to infiltrate our defenses better than any other known organization out there. The only question is, why are they telling us they’re doing it? What do we have that they want?

"It's an interesting topic to ponder...Not now, though. We have to clear our plates before we pile more on unless it becomes necessary."

Level 4 researcher: they can’t keep taking SCPs out from under our noses. And we’ve already increased the security here. How the hell did they steal 049?

On-site mobile task force commander: I don’t know. The first time they did it, the record states that a lone scientist from this Galactic Labs company managed to incapacitate 682 and chop off a portion of its leg with an axe, presumed to be a fire axe, before fleeing via an anomalous device. If they know how to paralyze that lizard long enough to rip off some of its scales and transport them, then they’re a hell of a threat. And the resulting breach attempt didn’t even see him get passed the doors to his own containment

Level 4 researcher: something’s not right, there has to be another motive to these.

"They must be putting anomalous resources, or something like that, to their advantage...There's no way they would be able to do this normally."

Level 4 researcher: we need more information on them, and the only way to get that is if we decided to work with them for a while, play they’re game.

*sighs* "I suppose..."

Level 2 researcher near you: no shit.

Level 2 guard 1: what in the ever living f**k just happened?

Level 2 guard 2: maybe that’s they’re thing. It certainly is weird.

*SCP 049 is led away and taken back to his cell*

"Yeah...Well, hopefully we'll never see them again."

*two days later, motion is detected at the front gate camera, when it was checked there is nothing but a package.*

*examining it carefully*

*inside the package , it had two boxes, one was slightly larger than the other. The first one, a small black rectangle, it looks like it can fit in one of your pockets. It contained a note from Galactic Labs, apologizing for any damage by borrowing SCP 049, the second was a larger black box that contained some device that seemed to be wearable, like it attached to any piece of clothing or vest. It looked like a small metal circle, the note inside the box read:

“Here is our prototype “Plague Shield” and a few replacements incase they break during your own research. We hope you accept this offer.”

The name was smudged in the package, there was also a instructions for how to use the shielding.*

"Interesting...This is probably something for the higher-ups to work with...I'm in no position to test things like this on my own..."

*there’s not really much else you can do besides contact Galactic Labs themselves. A week later one of them was tested as countermeasures to SCP 049 on a D-class, it worked even without usual protection. What other stuff does Galactic Labs make? What game are they playing with the foundation? Are they merely a friendly likeminded corporation or are they foes scouting their enemy? Something just isn’t right about them. They should not know this much about the foundation, nor should they be able to slip through security so easily.*

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: we will send the d-class that we have stolen first to minimize risk of a breach. *he motions to one of the soldiers who leads out 6 d-class personnel, you hear him shout orders to the rest of the d-class telling them not to step out of line or they will be shot/punished. 4 guards escorted the D-class towards the gate, all d-class were not cuffed for some reason. It didn’t seem to matter because all weapons were trained on them.*

Well, that's...Mostly dealt with...

*two more of the soldiers walk out with a floating coffin*

Galactic Labs Scientist 2: unfortunately we were not able to bring that one back. You may want to be careful when opening it.

*the soldiers escort the D-class and the coffin to the gate, they’re collected by the foundation guards there. Galactic Lab’s personnel wait for them to be escorted further inside before bringing out SCP 049I

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: please tell us when those “Class D” personnel reach their designated quarters and we will have SCP 049 escorted out of the transport ship.

"Alright then..."

*as soon as the d-class are in their cells, SCP 049 is escorted out. He actually has his hand on the shoulder of one of the Galactic Labs soldiers, but they aren’t dying somehow. He seems to be talking about some medical device Galactic Labs has made*

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: we thank you for helping our research. This will help us create new technology for the betterment of humanity.

"Think nothing of it...We're...Happy to help..."

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: as an apology for not requesting permission to borrow SCP 049, the foundation can have a prototype of our “plague shield” for its own research. It’s specifically designed to prevent SCP 049 from killing the wearer through touching them.

*SCP 049 seems a bit more compliant than usual, he obediently walks over to foundation guards and waits to be escorted inside*

"Really? Interesting..."

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: please take care with it, even though it may look resilient it is still a prototype and by no means is perfect, but we are working on that. We will be in contact soon.

*all Galactic Labs Personnel put their right arm over their chest, there hand balled into a fist over their heart*

Galactic Labs Scientist 1: for the future!

All other Galactic Labs personnel: FOR HUMANITY!

*the all turn and board the airship they landed outside of the facility. It doesn’t take off like a plane, more like a ship pout of a Sci-Fi movie*

On-site MTF commander: we could try sending a task force to secure their building.

Level 4 researcher: with all due respect, they got through all of our security measures without triggering them. It might not be the wisest idea to do that. They’re offering to work with us, maybe we should play along.

"I suppose that makes sense."

Level 4 researcher: I guess we’ll have to wait for the O5 council to make a decision then…

*Agent Andrews turns around and walks away*

On-Site MTF commander: do you guys think they have a guy on the inside?

Level 4 researcher: it’s possible.

"Perhaps. Should we conduct an investigation into site staff?"

*several level four guards came and took SCP 049 back to his cell, which seemed like overkill but you guessed the site director didn’t want to take any more chances*

Level 2 guard 1: I wonder if they’re also working with the GOC or CI.

Level 2 guard 2: honestly, who knows?

*looks like a level 4 researcher carried the package inside to open it with several agents and you present. They’re waiting in the conference room*

"Well?"

Level 4 researcher: I was just waiting for more people to show up so I’m not the only one here if something went wrong and someone was here to help me document this. *they begin to open the package*

Level 4 researcher: well they sent instructions, even a diagram of the thing pointing out the main components, so I guess that should save us some trouble. However given—

Level 3 guard: They apologize and return and SCP they stole and give us their own tech on top of it? There has to be a catch.

Level 4 researcher: I was about to say that. Maybe we should have the bomb squad or someone else take a look first, make sure it isn’t a threat.

"Definitely."

*A bomb squad comes in. It takes an hour but the devices are not a threat of any kind, not even a memetic threat*

"Interesting."

L4 researcher: well, I guess there’s only one way to find out if these things actually work.
