As the Democrats are out there demanding the Electoral College be disbanded...

Understand that without the Electoral College Process,
there would never have been an elected
President Abraham Lincoln

also there still would have been cause abraham lincoln got the most votes but no one got the majority in 1860

Uh, a presidential race is not a mob rule, popularity contest.

Any of the 4 candidates needed 152 Electoral College Votes to claim the election victory,
and Lincoln secured 180, with ZERO votes counted in 10 states in the South.

The 10 that subsequently seceded from The Union, with that as the impetus..

How does that support your argument?

That is a terrible argument. There is nothing in the electoral college that favors abolitionists. That was just a coincidence.

Also none of the candidates got a majority, so none got the popular vote.

Really, ...the popular vote? Good Lord must we suffer such a myopic diatribe?

Hence the Electoral College, as the popular vote is always irrelevant.
Please do elaborate a little further as to your assessment that the premise put forth is,
as you state 'terrible'? Whether the argument is 'terrible' to your perception has little if no bearing on the astute accuracy of the statement. Far from coincidental. Please.

Was 1876 Samuel Tilden relinquishing Electoral College votes to Rutherford B. Hayes a Coincidence too?
& For that matter, was 1960 JFK electoral college victory over Tricky Dick just a coincidence?

Uh, bruh, I digress... allow me to quote you directly....
"There is nothing in the electoral college that favors..."

All 3 of my comments simply address the Electoral College with a few examples...

There is nothing in the electorally college that INHERENTLY favors abolitionists. THE LINCOLN EXAMPLE IS ALSO INVALID AS NONE OF THE CANDIDATES GOT THE POPULAR VOTE IN 1860.

Rather presumptuous to self appoint oneself as Validator of historical fact, yet if one must, one must. I guess it's your meme. Have at it.

For verification, are you stating that Samuel P. Chase or Abraham Lincoln
was the anti slavery Republican candidate?
