Kamari: oh no *he swallows nervously when the girl-of-many-possibilities looks over at him* h-hey Konoko- *the girl storms over and glares at Kamari*
Konoko: so! What were you doing the day of my performance Neko-Pusshī? *Kamari winces and people stare*
Ishida: that's enough, Saionji. we haven't even been together for 10 minutes *Konoko glared at the tall blond* let's hold off on the insults for a while *he leans down* or you're getting them back, twice as bad, yes? *Konoko glared and stomped off. yup, that's a Hiyoko relative*

Ray: Dang-

*Konoko looks at Ray with a scowl*
Konoko: what's with you? *Kamari's eyes widen and he suddenly starts pushing Ray in the opposite direction*
Kamari: haha! nothing! we're, just gonna go over here! *he anxiously leads Ray away* that was close

Ray: Aww, i was going to go off in italian on her-

Kamari: I wouldn't recommend that; Italian is the language of music, and Konoko's fluent *he sits down on an empty desk*

Ray: Holy- well damn-

*A blonde girl wearing a red dress comes over with a smile. she's holding the hand of a seemingly younger boy, leading him around excitedly, but gently*
Girl: Hello!

Ray: oh.. Hi!

Girl: I'm Kasumi Nevermind. this is Emetu *The boy looks over when his name is called. there's a number-letter code on his sleeve that reads 'M2-22'*

Ray: Nice to meet you! I'm Ray!

Kasumi: *whispering to Ray* that just means 'hello' *she smiles brightly, practically emitting an aura from her*

Ray: Oh! uh... Ciao, mi chiamo Ray! piacere di conoscerti!

Kasumi: ciao Ray! è anche un piacere conoscerti
Kamari: parliamo tutti in italiano adesso? *he smiles. Emetu looks confused- then again, he always looks confused*

Raymond: Hmm.. Immagino che faremo... togami?

Ishida: *looks over, hearing his name* hm?

Ray: Do you speak italian too?

Ishida: er, no. French *he narrows his eyes in confusion* why do you ask?

Ray: No reason!

*Ishida raises an eyebrow, unconvinced. the warning bell rings and people make their way to their seats, a few people coming in late and such, but almost every seat in the room was filled . . . almost*
Kamari: 2 people are missing?
Kasumi: who would skip class on the first day of school?
Ishida: *Crossing his arms* I don't like this
Konoko: uh, to be fair; do you like anything?
Ishida: shut up

Ray: *Scared*

Kamari: I-I'm Kamari. it's nice to meet you- um, sh-should I be calling you 'Your Highness'? or, 'Princess Kasumi'? *Kasumi laughed, her silky blonde hair flowing as if it weighed almost nothing*
Kasumi: no, no, Kasumi is just fine *she smiles*

Ray: ....

*Emetu looks at Ray and tilts his head. he reaches out his hand and pats Ray's head. it's a clumsy touch, like that of a you kid's, but it's not rough*

Ray: oh thanks.

Kasumi: Emetu! you have to ask before you touch people's heads! *Emetu looks at Kasumi in confusion, who sighs in exasperation* I'm sorry. Kazuichi-San has been trying to edit Eme's internal AI, but it's going slower than we thought

Ray: Oh, it's ok! I like head pats!

Kasumi: oh! I understand. I'm sorry for the assumption *she bows. ok, the Sonia-ness is becoming apparent. Emetu poked Ray's cheek, curious about the softness of it. his hands are cold, but also soft? it feels like a human hand, but also not. weird*

Raymond: Can he talk?

Kasumi: well, a little bit *her tone softens like how you'd talk to a child* Emetu, can you introduce yourself to our new friends?
Emetu: . . . . . watashi M2-22. Konichiwa *he bows to them. Kamari smiles*
Kamari: Konichiwa Emetu. Watashi wa Nekozawa Kamari

Ray: ..... i eh-..... *Doesn't speek japanise*

Kamari: I see *he looked at the other people around here* seems everyone's related to someone in one way or another

Raymond: I guess so!

Kamari: must be nice, being able to have some starting knowledge *he sighs* still, I'm glad I'm here!

Ray: My dad didn't want me to come...

Ishida: same here, but the school kept bothering him about it *he sighs and shakes his head* in reality, the only reason I'm here is because I have a brother who can inherit if anything happens to me *he thinks for a moment as Kamari stares at him in shock* I'm not sure why the school only bugged him about me and not my siblings, but they were insistent about it being me

Ray: hmmm, you don't think that.... it could happen again?

Ishida: I hope not, though I'm not optimistic about the possibilities
Kamari: '-' we're talking about a possible ki- er, oofing game, right?

Ray: N-no! Just would suck if it did happen..... dad would be really sad...

Ishida: well that's the bad thing about it; the only people they have here right now are people with connections to Hope's Peak Alumni
Kamari: oh, uh, not exactly . . .

Ray: Your not?

*Ray looks around. they can't help but notice that some people seem more worried than others, and it can actually be boiled down to a simple reason; the people more worried are the people who're immediately related to survivors; ones related to victims or just flat out distantly related to former Ultimates were much calmer- well, except for Kamari, but he always seemed nervous/on edge. the door opens*

Ray: .... *Doing the knife game with a pen*

*A very tall boy, taller than Ishida, entered the room. he looked at all the people staring at him and smiled awkwardly*
???: uh, Hi?

Ray: ...

Reiko: ikr? So cool!
Ishida: *shakes his head* I don’t agree; I still don’t understand why they felt the need to bring back such a controversial place
Reiko: cause cool people don’t just disappear Ishida
Ishida: that’s not what I meant

Raymond: I think my dad went here... he was very much did not want me to coming here-

Ishida: who’s your father, if you don’t mind my asking *Reiko was looking around, but she seemed to still be listening*

Ray: I think our dads knew each other actually! *Points to Ishida* He call your dad tall shit?

*Kamari nods. Ishida looks shocked*
Ishida: then, how'd you get accepted if you didn't have connections- er, no offense
Kamari: none taken! tbh, I'm not really sure myself

Ray: Maybe he's a lucky student??

Kamari: oh, no, I have a talent! It's 'Producer', but it's not that cool *he smiles sheepishly and rubs the back of his neck*
Ishida: are you crazy? I'd give anything to be able to talk to people and not sound like a snobby brat

Ray: You don't sound snobby to me-

Kamari: yeah! I think you sound really polite *Ishida narrows his eyes, trying to find any sarcasm in Ray and Kamari's compliments*

*Ishida looks baffled at the idea that people will compliment him and actually be sincere with it*
Ishida: . . . huh *he opens the door to the classroom* okay, there's a lot of people here I recognize

Ray: they look just like their parents-

*and that's true; although Ishida is the most 'spitting-image' of his dad, there are a lot of others that are very easily recognizable; one girl looked like she could be related to Rantaro Amami, there was a boy with a striking resemblance to Mikan Tsumiki, and there was a girl Ray could connect visually to many people; Ibuki Mioda, Sayaka Maizono, Hiyoko Saionji, and/or Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu*

Ray: ..... woah-

*Both kids look confused*
Reiko: you don't know your last name?

Ishida: it's expected. don't forget they used to have Ultimate Pop Sensation and Ultimate Biker Gang Leader

*They get to the main hall of Hope's Peak. so far so good, I suppose*
*There are tons of kids there, but not as many as you may think. it's a lot less crowded than what the original Hope's Peak student count was*

Ray: Huh?

*Reiko and Ishida jumped back as someone pulled Ray back by the collar of their jacket. there was a crash and a yell; next thing anyone knows, Ishida, Reiko, and a girl with pink and black hair are all on the floor. there's a skateboard on the ground next to where Reiko's schoolbag fell on the ground. Ishida's glasses fell off his face and were- er, somewhere, Ray couldn't see where they'd landed*
???: woah! hey, sorry about that!

Ray: *Jacket fell off and on his face* It's Dark in here!

*Someone giggles and pulls the jacket off Ray's head. the boy's hazel eyes are bright and his skin looks soft and smooth. he's shorter than Ray and there's a long tuft of hair that sticks up in his fluffy blue hair*
??: Are you ok?

Ray: Oh, yeah i'm ok!

*Ray hears Ishida say something indistinct. he was kneeling on the ground running his hands along the ground*
Ishida: where-? *what was he looking for?*

Raymond: *Sees his glasses and grabs them Here you go!

*Ishida took them from Ray and put them on, blinking before he looked at Ray*
Ishida: thank you *he stood up and brushed himself off before rounding on the skateboarder girl that had knocked him and Reiko over* What's the big idea, huh? why're you skateboarding in the halls?
???: Gets me places faster

Ray: Not very smart tho-

*Ray sees other students walking around campus, some looking new and others looking like younger versions of famous Hope's Peak Alumni- I mean, there's a kid who looks like frickin Byakuya Togami, right down to the glasses!*

Raymond: ..... i feel nistolga for some reason-

???: Heyyy! You! with the yellow dress! *a voice calls from behind Ray*

Ray: Is my jacket that long? *Turns*

*A girl with long ginger hair in pigtails and green eyes waves, running over. she seems to recognize you, or have mistaken you for someone else*
???: Hi!

Ray: Hello? who are you?

*The girl looks at Ray funny*
???: I'm Rei. Reiko Shiba. me, your friend in middleschool-
??: that's the wrong person, Shiba *Reiko looks at the owner of the voice- the Byakuya kid. the Byakuya kid pulls Reiko off of Ray, whom she had tackled in a hug* I'm sorry about that. she's like a child
Reiko: I am not!

Ray: Well, my memory does suck, ok then, my last name?

*The girl looks at Ray, tilting her head*
???: what's got your hair in a twist? I didn't hit you

Ray: Common facts-

*The girl looked confused before shrugging*
???: I'm Alex Aiko, Ultimate Skateboarder! You all?
Ishida: Ishida Togami, Ultimate Affluent Progeny
Reiko: Reiko Shiba, Ultimate Actor, at your service *she bowed dramatically. the blue haired boy smiled*
??: I'm, Kamari Nekozawa. I'm the Ultimate Producer, though I do a lot of other things
Ishida: so you handle human satisfaction
Kamari: er- m-more or less, I guess

Ray: Ray Stith-Mirisciotta! Ultimate Indie Horror Game novelist!

Alex: Neat! what class're you guys in?
Ishida: I'm in 1-A
Reiko: Me too!
Kamari: I'm in 1-A also
Alex: yeah! I'm in 1-A! what about you Ray?
*Ray's schedule reads 'Class 1-A, Room 5 on the second floor to the left'*

Ray: Yep! it's the same!

Reiko: Yay! we're all in the same class! *She hugs all of them in a group hug, making Kamari jump and Ishida squirm a bit*
Ishida: hey! knock it off!
Reiko: never! *she squeezes them all tighter, giggling. she lets go after a moment and starts heading off towards their classroom*

Ray: ... well then-

*The group follows the energetic actor, Alex hopping on her skateboard again and Ishida rolling his eyes. Kamari turned to Ray*
Kamari: so, is this your first connection to Hope's Peak, or are you related to an Alum?

Ray: My Fahter went here!
