Quick question
How would someone address a non binary or agender person they don’t know? I bumped into someone I didn’t know at school today and wanted to apologize but I didn’t know how to address them. They were quite obviously non binary (also I saw them holding a non binary flag last year for pride month). It’s there something sir/ma’am-like I could say? Thanks 😊

I just use "mate" lol. I know there is an official term "Mx." which is used for enbys but like i said i use mate most of the time
