i hate how it seems that since the whole 'girly indefensible princess' character trend that happened a while back, lots of studios feel the need to have a "tough, strong, girlboss/leader that cant show vulnerability". aka, "not like other girls." it just pisses m e off. why can't a girl be both? why does she have to be either an "offensive" girly "stereotype" or kind of an asshole that can't show weakness and emotions? i know i am not girly to an extreme extent, but i do enjoy 'girly' things from time to time, and enjoy edgy stuff too. why does it have to be all black-and-white with this stuff? also, why do studios seem to love to portray the girly vlogger/blonde, pink-loving phone addict as an asshole? my mom says she hated that because she was a cheerleader in highschool and had (and still does have) blonde hair, so people would instantly assume she was a mean girl.
