Chapter 2: Escapist

(Fyi Lay when he's not in physical form, Lay will be called Lai)

In a dark room, illuminated by one light, Lays core sits their lifeless.
Suddenly, his core becomes illuminated, leds flickering, but still on.

Lai: Jeez, that guy was powerful. And he was the only one to step up for leader?
I feel ashamed for Kitius

Lays core activates his camera in his middle led and looks around the room, horrified at all the cores lying around lifelessly.

Lai: How did this guy kill so many robot Kitians so quickly?

He notices all the cores say 'prototype' or 'developing'
His mind fills with rage

Lai: THEY WERE ALL NEW?!
Picking all the weaklings?! He'll pay

Lai sees a camera and is able to sync up to the security system and go into it, leaving his core on the pedastal. He switches through the cameras, looking into different rooms and seeing endless piles of cores as he goes along.

Lai: Why is he doing this? How did he kill all of them so quickly?

He had too many questions than answers. As he was flipping through, he found an interrogation room where Ripley is executing another robot Kitian.

Ripley: You have no right to live! You're life is fictional! I will kill you NOW!

Ripley slices the Kitians chest compartment open, grabbing his ai core, and tossing it into another vault.

Ripley: Bye you metallic trash.

He slams the door and walks out with the Kitians lifeless corpse. Lai follows him through the cameras and sees him throw the body into a pile thats being smelted. and he sees something he can't bear to witness, his body being smelted into liquid and ash.

Just then, Astra gets a call.

Astra answers it.

Astra: Hello?

Lai: Hi

Astra: WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU WHERE ARE YOU WHY DID YOU GO I TOLD YOU THAT IT WOULD BE A BAD IDEA

Lai: Calm down, I just need to sync up to your phone and I'll explain everything.

Astra: Ok

Lai hangs up and Astra rushes home since she was walking around the park thinking on how to get Lay back.
A few minutes later, she burst through the door and runs into Lays room where his old body was. The only one home was Yal and was confused why she rushed in so urgently. She plugs her phone into him and Lays speakers turn on.

Astra: Are you on?

Lay: Yea but its just my speakers

Lay explains everything that he saw and how he had been melting down the bodies of the robot Kitians. Astra looks shocked and is questioning kitians political systems.

Astra: So he's basically been killing children?

Lay: Yea, he's disgusting, luring unsuspecting kits to their death

As they're talking, Yal walks in with a questioning face.

Lay: You don't need to know about this

Even though Lay is fine with Yal, he still is a bit mad at what he did.
Yal walks next to Astra and she picks him up and puts him in her hair

Astra: He needs to know too, you're not the only robot cat in the house

Lay: Fine, but how will we go about this?

Astra: Well lets go over the evidence before we do something.

Meanwhile, in Kituis.

Ripley: Its almost done, I'll FINALLY be able to see the gods!!!
HAHAHAHAH!!!!

This is a really cool story. Also I like how there’s a bunch of robot cores here. When they defeat Ripley there could be tons of potential new robot characters because they don’t have to have cat robot bodies and if Lay survived they probably did to
