Anyone ever got into a pokemon situation like this?

Yeah I don't think I've ever gotten a shiny just regularly, but I also didn't know what they were as a child in the 90s and might not have even noticed as some of them are very subtle. Also a lot of them look terrible to me so I'm not really bothered by it either way.
