Anything in the Conjuring-verse or Insidious series is a pretty good starting point. Anything by Blumehouse Productions too.

Classics include the Halloween series, the Chucky series, the nightmare on Elm Street series, the Evil Dead trilogy (only the first 2 are horror, third one is comedy), and the Hellraiser series. Last one I saw was Nope, which was very good. Cabin In The Woods was good.

Unfortunately I only know fairly intense horror movies other than the good classics. But I will recommend anyways just in case you do want to check them out. Talk to Me, Hereditary, Grimcutty, Don't Breathe series and I would say also the whole Insidious/The Conjuring/The Nun/Annabell franchise lmao. If you're careful, you can look up what order to watch that franchise in because otherwise everything will be confusing.

I will say, I've heard Hereditary is fairly difficult to watch, it's mainly around the world of witchcraft and sacrifices, so it might be a tad bit difficult, it just depends on how much you can take.

Well thank god because last night I went and watched The Nun 2 and, according to my friend, she did a scream count on me and got 5 screams. But I actually only screamed like- 3 times lmao. The Nun 2 is still in theatres, but I will say, good movie. Do you want to follow me btw? I'd like to talk more :)

The mid gen RE games are more action heavy. They really went back to their roots with 7 and 8 though. You don't have to play the pervious ones either. Same for DS 3 if you finish the first 2. DS 2 is probably peak horror imo.
