Emotional Support Animals Are NOT Trained Service Animals Used By People With Disabilities

In the United States, per the Americans with Disabilities Act, service dogs are not required to have documentation, registration or certifications and because most people with real task trained service animals do not carry documentation it is illegal for businesses to require such a thing; A business may ask any dog owner that comes into their establishment two questions. 1. Is that dog a task trained service dog to aid a disability? 2. What tasks is the dog trained to perform; They CAN NOT ask what disability the person has or for them to demonstrate the tasks; If someone says their dog is for emotional support, comfort or has no tasks businesses are legally allowed to deny them, however it is illegal to deny a service animal entry because they will not show proof or registration
