'When' refers to the past tense.

Greta is a hypocrite. It is well documented that manufacturing an EV has a considerably larger carbon footprint than an ICE vehicle. It can take 10 years of driving before that excess carbon footprint breaks even. That does not take into consideration the possibility that EV is still on the road after 10 years (accident, battery fire, obsolete, no replacement battery).
She owns over $100,000 of electric vehicles. A 3rd Gen Tesla, a BMW i5 and a Camry hybrid. It will take her 30 years of driving just to break even by her standards.

Sorry, it’s a BMW i3, not an i5.

Let’s follow the unbiased science which pre-existed Al Gore. 20,000 years ago 15,000 feet of ice sat atop what is now New York City. Glacial striations on boulders in Central Park are evidence.

Are you saying it melted because cavemen were driving Hummers?

What in the name of God has New Yorkian iceberg/glaciers got to do with a prediction that in the future, we will be cooking food off the heat from magnifying glasses.

That's the funny thing - I'm not an atheist. However, Climate Change IS for the most part man-made and there is limited evidence to suggest otherwise. On the other hand, there is overwhelming evidence to suggest that is IS man made.

Glad to see you are not an atheist -btw.

Again, what has ice bergs got to do with cavemen? And Hummers?
0 ups, 1y
If the planet warmed up recently (in geological timeframes) BEFORE petroleum consumption, it likely those factors are still at work. From Al Gore to the UN to climate scientists, so many pushing the climate agenda are in it for the money.

In response to this title, why are environmentalists stupid?
0 ups, 1y,

Some are. Most don’t think things through completely.

😬 Big deal, some people took a risk and went to live off the grid...where does it mention environmentalists?

Everything they do is counterproductive, like deforestation for wind mills
Offshore wind farms are killing whales
Their stance on nuclear power is the main reason we can’t get off coal.

It's not the Windmill Management Company. It's an excerpt from energy.gov, which IS in fact a fairly reliable source of information regarding this topic. It was founded by President Carter in 1977, when he signed an act consolidating multiple energy functions into the US Department of Energy.

Democratically elected government don’t lie…? So there was WMDs in Iraq?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I am in no place to say whether there were Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq...also what does Iraq have to do with democratically elected governments?

Over 500 tons of yellow cake uranium were removed after Saddam was deposed. He stymied IAEA inspections. When they were allowed to inspect facilities, which had been emptied of equipment, etc., their monitors detected residual radiation.

Who is 'they', environmentalists?
0 ups, 1y,
1 reply
Unfortunately, and like many things in life, nuclear isn't safe forever. It may be a good source of energy now, but it's obvious in the future it will do irreparable damage. Screw that, it already is.

Thorium reactors are safe.
0 ups, 1y
Yes. It’s safe. They are cutting down trees to make room for wind farms. How dumb is that?
0 ups, 1y,
1 reply
No, it's not. Nuclear waste is extremely difficult to remove, and releases large quantities of harmful radioactive particles, which is EXTREMELY damaging to human/animal health, and nature as a whole.
