Soul

We are souls, we have bodies, but we do not own our souls and bodies. These belong to God and if we give them to another, we foot the bill, for they are not ours to give, though they are us.

Well by definition if we are souls, we own our souls, because God does not "own" us, he's our Father. But point well taken: we are entrusted with the glorious task to journey in this body, temple of the Holy Spirit, in such a way as to honor God and make our way back to our true homeland: heaven. 🙏
