Don't worry dude, as a intermediate photographer I know exactly what you're talking about with the megapixels and stuff 😁
Bear in mind that when it comes to photography that the first thing you should look at is not the amount of megapixels. That is almost irrelevant. Instead, you should be looking at the sensor size of the camera. If a camera like mine has 18 megapixels crammed into a really tiny 1/2.3" sensor like mine, it will have worse image quality than the FZ80's cousin, the FZ300. The FZ300 has 12 megapixels but has better quality because it has less megapixels crammed in there.
