I can remember when Democrats were HAPPY that our smokestack factories/manufacturing base were being shipped to China. Now it's "Need a job, go learn how to code"! That's not a solution for many people.
Also: how's that work out when we NEED manufactured goods, say in a pandemic? Or in a war?
