When I went to the Meteor Crater in Winslow, Arizona, it had a small museum with a game where you could simulate a meteor strike by adjusting the size, material composition, and trajectory of the meteor. The first time I ran the simulation, the meteor bounced off Earth's atmosphere. The second time, the meteor didn't just incinerate the Earth, it broke the Earth into little tiny pieces.
Go to that museum and you can do the same.
