Aren't most of these gun laws unconstitutional? It has been said, that a law that compels people to purchase insurance that doesn't necessarily exist and that demonstrates that the laws are not a good faith attempt to do anything other than ban or burden the lawful possession of guns.
In 2015 didn't the House of Representatives try to pass a bill to require gun owners to carry liability insurance? Citing that no insurance like this exists. And finding, in the event of a gun liability insurance mandate, criminals are highly unlikely to purchase insurance, meaning victims would not receive compensation. So there is good reason to believe that insurance would fall short of it's goal.
Then in October 2022, the Supreme Court of the United States found that a ban with serial numbers removed is unconstitutional.
And finally in 2020, the Supreme Court of the United States found the rule on ghost guns does not prohibit the sale or possession of any ghost gun kit, nor does it block an individual from purchasing such a kit. Instead it requires compliance with Federal Law. Such as that manufactures and sellers mark products with serial numbers and keep records to allow law enforcement to trace firearms used in crimes.
I would also think that laws for the sellers not to be caused burden would apply here too.
