I'll warn you now: it's not a quick snack sort of article; in fact, should you choose to follow out the cross-links, it may well take several hours to read in its entirity. And, as it's an opinion piece, take it with the usual grain of salt. That said, I encourage everyone to do so, especially if you're still in the "Trump-did-nothing-wrong"/ "political persecution" camp.
